If you’re planning a vacation to Punta Cana, you won’t lack for choices. The Dominican Republic’s number one travel destination teems with large all-inclusive resorts, including a number of the family-friendly variety.

Now there is another one.

Hyatt Hotels, which has been steadily expanding its all-inclusive portfolio in the Caribbean (a push that began in earnest with its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group in 2021), has added another resort in the Dominican Republic with the new Sunscape Coco Punta Cana.

The family-friendly all-inclusive is set in the Cabeza de Toro area of greater Punta Cana. It’s the second Sunscape-branded all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic, with a whopping 1,059 rooms on Bavaro Beach.

“The opening of Sunscape Coco Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic presents an opportunity to bolster family-friendly, all-inclusive options in a diverse and vibrant market for travelers worldwide,” said Gonzalo del Peón, Group President of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. “The Dominican Republic continues to be a destination of immense importance to the Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt, and this stunning backdrop offers a cost-conscious ideal setting for families seeking both relaxation and adventure.”

The new-look all-inclusive has 12 dining concepts, from buffet eateries to grab-and-go stops, along with a kids program called the Explorer’s Club and an array of daily programming like yoga lessons, aqua aerobics and beach volleyball.

The rooms are diverse, from traditional rooms and suites to larger two and three-bedroom suites for families — including connecting room options geared for kids.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana also has a “Sun Club,” which includes specialized check-in, upgraded bath amenities and the option for adults-only rooms if you’re not traveling with kids.

Hyatt says the resort is offering savings of up to 40 percent now through Dec. 27. You can find more here.
