Vote for the Best of The Bahamas in the CJ Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 5, 2023

It’s no secret that The Bahamas is one of the world’s hottest travel destination right now, with record-breaking arrivals and a dynamic tourism movement in progress.

Whether you’re wading in the Windex-blue waters of Exuma for the first time, or you’ve made a regular pilgrimage to Atlantis Paradise Island for decades, The Bahamas has a particularly captivating pull on travelers from around the globe. That extends to every single aspect of the Bahamian travel experience, from hotels to taxi drivers to restaurants to food stalls.

That’s why we’re once again honoring the best of The Bahamas with a sweeping celebration of the people, places and projects helping make the Bahamian travel experience what it is today. But we’ve made a major addition this year: sustainability. Because for all of the country’s profound tourism success, The Bahamas has also helped lead the way in the Caribbean sustainability movement, ensuring that travel and tourism can lead the push for a better tomorrow.

Caribbean Journal’s editorial team has made nominations in 34 different categories, from the best hotels on every island to sustainable leadership to chefs, bartenders and people-to-people experiences.  Now it’s your turn to help, voting for your favorites and choosing the winners of this year’s CJ Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards. Voting is running through Feb. 29, 2024 at 12 AM EST.

“Caribbean Journal’s Bahamas Travel and Sustainability Awards will celebrate the best in Bahamian hospitality and tourism,” said Latia Duncombe, Director General of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation. “As our vibrant tourism industry continues to surge, we are proud to be honoring the remarkable people and places that are contributing to The Bahamas’ travel renaissance.”
