There’s a New Small Airline in the Dominican Republic

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 29, 2023

There’s a new way to hop around the Dominican Republic, with the introduction of an airline called Reef Jet.

Reef Jet will be running flights between major cities in the Dominican Republic, including connections between Punta Cana and Santiago, Pedernales and Samana.

The first flight from Punta Cana to Santiago operated this week, with a flight time of about 50 minutes.

For now, the airline’s flights are being sold through major tour operators, giving travelers a new way to experience different attractions around the country.

The idea is to help promote multiple-destination trips within the Dominican Republic, according to the company, along with private charter services.

Reef Jet is also operating excursion flights to Pedernales and Samana.

The carrier is operating its flights on a pair of Cessna aircraft with capacity for nine passengers.
