Statia’s Top Luxury Resort Has a New General Manager

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 7, 2023

The top luxury resort on the Dutch Caribbean island of Statia has named a new general manager.

The Golden Rock Dive and Luxury Resort has tapped Anthony Reid to the role.

Reid comes to the property after having worked most recently with the island’s government, with which he served as Statia’s Director of Economy, Nature and Infrastructure.

The appointment is a nod to the resort’s significant focus on sustainability, from its culinary program to its large-scale solar energy plant.

The Golden Rock opened in 2021 as the first full-fledged luxury resort in the island.

Statia has been seeing significant growth in tourism since the onset of the pandemic.
