It has been called the “New Cancun,” and the area of Costa Mujeres on the outskirts of Cancun has become one of the fastest-growing destinations in the wider region in recent years.

Now, Wyndham, which has been rapidly expanding its all-inclusive portfolio in the Caribbean and Mexico with its Alltra brand, is now expanding to Costa Mujeres.

Wyndham has announced the addition of the TRS Coral Hotel to its Registry Collection Hotels brand; the hotel, operated by Palladium Hotel Group, is a beachfront adults-only all-inclusive.

The 469-room, all-suite resort has 18 bars, 12 restaurants and the world’s first Rafael Nadal Tennis Center, opened in 2018. That includes eight tennis courts (four indoor and four outdoor), a football field, a paddle court and replicas of the Spanish legend’s countless trophies.

It’s also home to a wellness center called Zentropia.

The Registry Collection already has 11 resorts in Mexico, along with four in the wider Caribbean, from Belize to St Thomas.

“We are thrilled to announce the addition of TRS Coral Hotel in Costa Mujeres to the Wyndham Registry Collection; this addition comes as a testament to our continued growth in the region,” said Jimena Faena, VP for marketing and brand operations at the Registry Collection. “The TRS Coral Hotel’s stunning surroundings, combined with Wyndham’s renowned hospitality, will undoubtedly create unforgettable moments for all who visit.”

The resort is the latest in a growing number of properties in Costa Mujeres.

The property will, perhaps most notably, be part of the Wyndham Rewards program.

Costa Mujeres, set on a barrier peninsula opposite the island of Isla Mujeres, has been drawing a number of new brands in recent years, from Riu to Majestic to Apple Leisure Group.

For its part, Wyndham has been adding new all-inclusive resorts around the region, from the Dominican Republic (where it will be opening an Alltra soon) to Curacao, where it now has a Trademark Collection resort.
