Wyndham’s fast-growing all-inclusive collection is adding a major new resort in the Dominican Republic later this year.

The new Wyndham Alltra Samaná, a 404-room resort in one of the country’s up-and-coming destinations, is now taking reservations for a December debut.

The property is now available for stays beginning Dec. 1, according to its Web site. It will be managed by Playa Hotels and Resorts.

“The Dominican Republic, and in particular Samaná, is one of the Caribbean’s most serene and relaxing escapes, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a tropical oasis while disconnecting from the everyday,” said Roberto Garrido, vice president, Operations for the Dominican Republic at Playa Hotels and Resorts. “Whether it’s unwinding with a new book under a picturesque palm or reconnecting with family as you embark on a new outdoor adventure, Wyndham Alltra Samaná pairs the best of the Dominican with the ease of all-inclusive travel.”

The resort is undergoing an extensive renovation.

The resort has a private stretch of beach, four pools and nearly 12 different food and beverage concepts. It’s set in stunning Las Galenas, set at the far eastern tip of the Samana peninsula.

It is the product of a renovation of the former Grand Paradise Samana. The property has been undergoing what Wyndham described as an “extensive renovation of all resort rooms and public spaces.”

The resort will open on Dec. 1.

It will be the fourth Wyndham Alltra all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean-Mexico region, and the first-ever Wyndham Alltra in the Dominican Republic.

It joins existing Alltra (which stands for “all-inclusive travel for all”) resorts in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Nayarit.

“Wyndham Alltra offers exactly what today’s travelers crave most: unique and memorable experiences,” said Jimena Faena, vice president and brand leader, Wyndham Alltra. “The brand’s all-inclusive approach to travel means worrying less about pulling out your wallet and instead, more reveling in the excitement of your resort arrival and all that’s available to you.”

Rates for the all-inclusive resort will start at $198 per night based on double occupancy.

It’s another new brand for the Dominican Republic, which has been seeing record-breaking tourism numbers so far in 2023.
