Canadian leisure carrier WestJet is adding new flights to one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations: Jamaica.
The airline is kicking off a new route this winter between Edmonton and Montego Bay, Jamaica, with service set to begin on Nov. 12.
The new route will operate once weekly on Sundays, according to WestJet.

It’s one of two new routes to the Caribbean this winter for WestJet, along with new flights between Toronto and the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean.
That route will be kicking off on Dec. 12.
“This year’s winter schedule is about providing Canadians with what they want: affordable sun destination getaways from across Canada,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Group, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer.
