Regional carrier InterCaribbean Airways has launched its expanded service to the island of Dominica. 

The airline has added a new ATR 42-500 to its Eastern Caribbean system, meaning broader access to destinations including Dominica. 

The new InterCaribbean schedule will now include daily flights to Dominica out of both Saint Lucia and Barbados. 

That will mean a total of 17 weekly flights to Dominica, according to InterCaribbean. 

This summer, the airline will be operating a mix of Embraer 120 and ATR 42 seats to Dominica, with the eventual phase-out of the Embraer by the ATR 42. 

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with interCaribbean with increased service for residents of the Caribbean as well as returning nationals and visitors from the UK, USA, and Canada for onward connections through their hubs of choice that InterCaribbean serves,” said Colin Piper, director of tourism.
