Cozumel has a number of popular all-inclusive resorts, like the Dreams Cozumel Cape resort, above.

Delta Air Lines is launching its newest Caribbean route, with nonstop service between Atlanta and Cozumel, Mexico set to begin this winter.

The new service, which will begin Nov. 5, will be operating daily between Atlanta and the popular island near Cancun.

And it’s not alone.

Delta is also adding three-times-weekly seasonal service between Minneapolis and Cozumel; that service will be launching on Dec. 16.

Both launches represent post-pandemic restarts.

Delta is operating both routes on its Airbus A320 aircraft.

Passenger traffic in Cozumel continues to grow, with traffic numbers at Cozumel Airport already up 13.2 percent compared to the same period last year, according to ASUR, which manages the airport.
