The new-look Eastern Airlines has launched flights to a new Caribbean destination: the Dominican Republic.
Eastern Airlines, a new incarnation of the legendary aviation brand, is now operating nonstop flights between Miami International Airport and Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The flights mark a return of service for the airline in the Dominican Republic; Eastern had been operating flights to the country before the onset of the pandemic.
“We are very pleased to be back,” the company said in a statement.
The carrier has not yet revealed the frequency of the route, however.
Flights are starting at under $200 one-way, according to Eastern.
