Four Seasons Opens Adults-Only “Luxury Tented” Resort in Mexico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 2, 2022

Four Seasons has opened its first-ever “luxury tented” resort with a tiny new hotel in Mexico.

And it’s an all-inclusive.

The new, adults-only Naviav, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico is set in the heart of the Punta Mita development, where Four Seasons already has a large luxury resort.

Naviva has just 15 luxury tents set on a 48-acre site on a private peninsula.

Four Seasons says it’s an “adults-only sanctuary that harnesses nature to create an environment that fosters community, personal growth and appreciation for local heritage.”

“Naviva builds on the success of our more than 20 years in Punta Mita, reinforcing everything that our guests love about this idyllic destination while offering an entirely new experience,” says Rainer Stampfer, Four Seasons President, Global Operations, Hotels and Resorts. “This exceptional project is a testament to our dedication to innovating the guest experience and creating unique concepts within our portfolio that meet guest needs in meaningful, personalized ways.”

Four Seasons says the tents themselves “blur the border between the natural and manmade worlds,” with large indoor and outdoor areas, open-air living rooms, private plunge pools and outdoor showers.

It’s as luxurious as “glamping” gets, with oversized bathrooms with deep soaking tubs, and outdoor fire pits.

“We welcome guests to Naviva as if they are friends joining us at our own home, while giving them the space and flexibility for their own self-discovery and adventure,” says Ronny Fernández, Resort Manager, Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort. “Together with my team, we’re honored to unveil this one-of-a-kind experience to the world, showcasing the wonders of Mexico – from embarking on a shamanic sound journey to finding a new level of focus while spearfishing – in a distinctly Four Seasons way.”

The wellness-focused resort has a broad program of experiences, from the Daily Naviva that focuses on movement and gastronomy to the Signature Naviva, which even has its own “House of Heat,” a temazcal sweat lodge designed specifically for the resort.

The culinary program features Copal Cocina, a seafood-focused restaurant; a light bites option at Selva Pool and a personalized menu in the tent itself.

The hotel is all-inclusive, with the rate including all meals, snacks and drinks.
