British Virgin Islands Makes Slight Change to Travel Protocols

The British Virgin Islands has announced a slight change to its travel protocols.

Travelers no longer need to register and apply to enter the territory via the BVI Gateway Travel Application Portal, the British Overseas Territory announced.

Travelers also no longer need to show evidence of travel insurance.

The destination’s essential protocols remain unchanged, however, meaning all travelers above the age of 5 need to show proof of either a negative antigen test within 48 hours before arrival, or a recovery certificate from a licensed medical professional certifying recovery from Covid-19 within 90 days prior to arrival in place of a negative test.

Testing requirements do not apply to day trippers.
