Marriott International has named a new area general manager for Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
The company has tapped Brock Hochhalter to the role, in which he will be responsible for the premium and luxury Marriott hotels in the two countries.
He will also “liaise with select Marriott International hotels and franchise partners in the market and serve a key player in the substantial growth and development occurring in the luxury and All-Inclusive segments within the Dominican Republic,” according to the company.
Indeed, Marriott just added another hotel to its growing all-inclusive portfolio with the Sanctuary Cap Cana hotel.
“The pipeline in the Dominican Republic is robust, with several openings and potential conversions across all segments, including All-Inclusive, luxury and a combination of both. I am honored to be joining the team that brings these unique destinations to life,” Hochhalter said. “I look forward to collaborating with the entire team and to continuing to distinguish each property with its uncompromising service and experience for visitors.”
Hochhalter has been with Marriott since 1996; he most recently served as senior area director of operations for the Caribbean.
