The Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and Casino in Bonaire has a new top chef.

Parent company Divi Resorts has announced the appointment of Aruba native Raymond Jansen as the property’s new executive chef.

A 12-year veteran of the industry, Jansen is working to cultivate new concepts and dishes, according to a statement.

“He’s fun and very dedicated,” said Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino’s General Manager Celine Van Meer. “The resort team really enjoys working with him, and we’ve already experienced all of the new twists and upgrades he contributed to our restaurants.”

The popular Bonaire resort has a total of 126 rooms.

“I truly love what I do, and when I get in the zone, that’s where my culinary creations blossom,” Jansen said. “Guests can expect fresh ingredients and dishes made with love and care in a stunning oceanfront paradise.”

“My expertise is Caribbean cuisine with an international twist,” Jansen said. “I have a healthy and light cooking style, so guests can savor quality dishes that are both delicious and nutritious while on vacation.”

The Divi Flamingo is one of the partner hotels for the upcoming Bonsaire Rum Week, the island’s most anticipated event in years.
