Major Regatta Returns to St Thomas

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 24, 2022

The popular St Thomas International Regatta is back, part of a growing wave of relaunched regattas across the Caribbean.

It’s the 48th edition of the regatta, which features sailing and land events from March 24 to March 27.

That includes daily meals, music events and dinners, along with racing across a host of classes, from mult-hull to Obie waves and racing.

The event is another boost what has become the hottest yachting destination in the Caribbean since the onset of the pandemic, anchored by The Moorings’ entry to the Yacht Haven Grande Marina.

“For nearly fifty years of running regattas, we at the St. Thomas Yacht Club have provided our fellow sailors with beautiful island racing conditions and great courses, World Class Race Management and our renowned Virgin Islands Hospitality and Fun. As we say at STYC We Love it Here, come join us and share the feeling, saiid Pat Bailey, STIR 2022 Co-Director with Greer Scholes.
