Swedish airline Ving is making its return to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The company had stopped flying to Aruba for the last two years amid the pandemic.
The relaunched service will kick off Nov. 24, 2022, with flights every two weeks over a four month period.
That will mean 3,357 visitors from Sweden, according to the Aruba Tourism Authority.
“The demand for Aruba from the European market is growing, and direct flights
from Sweden are part of our diversification strategy,” said Tirso Tromp, area director for Aruba Tourism Authority Europa. “Aruba was always one of the best-sold destinations [for Ving], with high visitor satisfaction.”
The carrier will be operating the service on Airbus A330-900neo, with 373 seats.
