Spirit Relaunches Three More Routes to the Caribbean

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 13, 2021

Spirit Airlines has relaunched three routes to the Caribbean, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The low-cost carrier has restarted daily service from Orlando to Cancun, along with service to both Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

The Punta Cana service is operating thrice weekly, while Santo Domingo flights are running four times each week.

“Florida’s Hometown Airline continues to invest at Orlando International Airport by offering daily flights to new domestic and international destinations,” said Spirit Airlines Vice President of Network Planning John Kirby. “With over 80 flights each day to more than 50 cities, Spirit Airlines provides our Central Florida Guests even more nonstop options including 16 popular vacation destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.”

Spirit will relaunch routes from Orlando to two more Caribbean destinations in September, including Cartagena, Colombia and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
