Only Fully Vaccinated Travelers Can Now Visit Anguilla

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 8, 2021

Anguilla’s newest entry protocols have now taken effect, meaning only fully vaccinated travelers can now visit the island.

The new protocols, which went into effect last week, exempt children under the age of 18 and women who are pregnant.

Anguilla considers a traveler fully vaccinated if  it has been last least three weeks since their final vaccine dose — either one dose for a single-dose vaccine or two doses for a two-dose vaccine.

Accepted vaccines include the Pfizer, AtraZeneca, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

All international travelers to Anguilla must apply for entry permission at IVisitAnguilla, and submit proof of a negative PCR result taken and received within three to five days before arrival in Anguilla.

Travelers must also upload proof of vaccination.

Anguilla is also testing all visitors on arrival at no cost; visitors must stay in place at their hotel or villa while awaiting their test results, which are usually delivered within 12 hours.

Once they receive a negative result, fully vaccinated travelers have no restrictions on movement.

That means they are “free to roam around the island at will.”

“They can rent a vehicle, explore the island’s 33 spectacular beaches, dine around at the fabulous assortment of restaurants and beach bars, enjoy a relaxing and luxurious spa treatment, take to the links or the off-shore cays, and experience all that this extraordinary island has to offer,” the island said in a statement (note: the island’s golf course is currently closed as it undergoes a redesign).
