JetBlue’s New Aruba Flights

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 4, 2021

JetBlue recently launched its first-ever flights from Newark to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba.

The new flights between Newark Liberty Airport and Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport is being operated on JetBlue’s new Airbus A321 aircraft, which also has the carrier’s luxe Mint cabins.

“We are extremely grateful for the invaluable support received from our partners at JetBlue during this pandemic,” said Ronalla Tjin Asjoe-Croes, the CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority.

“The Aruba Tourism Authority and our partners are working rigorously towards re-building our tourism industry. One of our main objectives is to ensure aerial capacity, and we’ll continue to give our maximum effort to position Aruba as one of the most preferred destinations to North American tourists,” the CEO said.

Aruba recently announced a partnership with JetBlue on entry testing for visitors through an alliance with health company Vault.

That program helps facilitate testing for visitors, who can either show proof of a negative test before arrival or, as the island recently announced, can take a PCR test on arrival at the airport.
