The USVI Is Travelzoo’s Most Sought-After Caribbean Destination

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 7, 2020

Travel portal Travelzoo’s U.S. members have a favorite Caribbean destination: the United States Virgin Islands.

The portal’s U.S. members say the USVI is the Caribbean destination they’d most like to visit over the next two years, according to a recent survey by the company.

The results were shared by USVI Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte in a recent webinar hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association.

Boschulte said the results were a “comforting confirmation of the efficacy of intelligent and efficient actions by the people of the USVI, led by Governor Albert Bryan Jr. and his special teams assembled to cope with the COVID-19 challenge.”

He said the survey’s results validate the USVI’s emphasis on “clearly enunciated and carefully implemented health and security protocols and industry guidelines, including the importance of wearing a mask in the public.”

“Our focus on health, hygiene and safety obviously resonated with these well-traveled people whose opinions are heeded by other potential travelers,” he said.
