Saint Lucia’s Top Marina Is Open Again

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 3, 2020

The Marigot Bay Marina in Saint Lucia is open again, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The island’s leading marina, which is an official port of entry to Saint Lucia, recently reopened following three months of closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reopening has come with the addition of more than 100 new operational and hygienic protocols.

Marigot Bay Marina also now has a new port health office with a full time representative, along with a nursing station.

“As we look forward to the future of yachting and cruising, we have implemented full-scale enhancements to our already stringent quality controls and health and safety measures,” said Marigot Marina Manager, Troy Blanchard. “We have embarked on our newly activated CASE program (Clean and Sanitize Everything) which provides ongoing, real-time guidance on the safety and well-being of associates and guests in the evolving COVID-19 world and beyond.”

For now, Marigot Bay eateries remain closed, but the marina is offering “in-boat” room-service-style dining delivered to yachts.

The Marigot Bay Resort’s upper swimming pool is also open to marina guests.

“We will continue to work towards providing the best service possible while at the same time ensuring the safety of our boaters and associates,” Blanchard said.
