These Are Delta’s Caribbean Flights in May

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 29, 2020

Delta Air Lines is adding a pair of new routes to its Caribbean flight schedule for the month of may, Caribbean Journal has learned.

After flying just two routes to the Caribbean region in April, Delta Air Lines has announced a pair of new routes to the Caribbean: Atlanta to St Thomas and Atlanta to St Croix

Delta will be flying the Atlanta-St Croix route weekly on Saturdays, and will be operating Atlanta-St Thomas flights “less than” daily.

“Customer demand, CDC guidelines, and government travel regulations continue to shape Delta’s network schedule,” Delta Air Lines said in a statement.

Along with the new routes come some reductions.

Existing service from Atlanta to San Juan, Puerto Rico have gone from daily to “less than daily,” while daily flights have been reduced to weekly Saturday service from New York to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Delta is also flying from Atlanta to San Jose, Costa Rica and San Pedro Sula, among other Caribbean Basin destinations.

The San Jose flights and the San Pedro Sula flights are both operating “less than daily.” The carrier has not specified what that means.

Delta also removed a number of flights it had been operating in April, including flights from Atlanta to Cancun, Nassau and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, among others.

“Delta continues evaluating its scheduled summer service and will adjust as needed,” the company said.
