Regional air carrier Winair is launching additional flights to Montserrat for the upcoming peak tourist season in 2020.

The carrier will be launching new flights in January and March on its Twin-Otter aircraft, according to a statement from the government of Montserrat.

The flights will operate between Antigua and Montserrat.

That will include new flights on Jan 2 and Jan 3, along with new flights on March 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20.

The government said the new flights were part of an “effort to ensure additional airlift is available during the year-end festival and St Patrick’s festival periods.”

St Patrick’s day in particular is arguably the most popular holiday in Montserrat, and the Caribbean’s biggest celebration of the festival.
