Canadian travel giant is launching several new vacations to popular travel destinations in Cuba, the company said this week.

Sunwing will now be offering vacations from Hamilton, Ontario to Cayo Coco and Santa Maria in Cuba.

Sunwing will also be launching Cuba vacations in the travel hub of Varadero, with twice-weekly flights out of Hamilton on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The Cayo Coco flights will launch Dec. 15, running every Sunday through April 12, 2020; the new Cayo Santa Maria flights will run on Fridays from Dec. 13 to April 10, 2020.

“We are excited to be expanding our operations from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport,” said Andrew Dawson, President of Tour Operations for Sunwing. “Since we commenced operations in the Hamilton region in 2013, our flight services have been well-received and extremely popular with residents of Hamilton and the Greater Golden Horseshoe area. With the addition of these three new destinations, we will now be offering travellers access to more of our popular vacation hotspots than ever before.”

Sunwing’s newest Cuba vacations will include stays at Cayo Coco’s Memories Flamenco Beach Resort, while the Cayo Santa Maria flights can be packaged with stays at the Grand Memories Santa Maria.

“As an airport that is growing its leisure travel options for Hamilton and the surrounding market, Hamilton International Airport is very happy to continue its invaluable partnership with Sunwing over the forthcoming winter season,” said Dina Carlucci, director of communications for John C Munro Hamilton International Airport.
