One of the leading hotels in St Kitts has named a new general manager.

The island’s Ocean Terrace Inn has appointed Steve Tyson as its new GM, the property announced this week.

Tyson will lead the management team and oversee all aspects of operations at what is St Kitts’ only four-star boutique hotel, located near the capital city of Basseterre.

“I am gratified by the opportunity to lead the OTI team and look forward to continuing the focus on excellence and enhancing the service culture,” Tyson said. “Going forward, we will strive to create a home-away-from-home ambiance where our guests develop an emotional attachment to the hotel and rightfully feel that they are at the heart of our extended family.”

After beginning his tenure as a hotelier in 1991 with an eight-year stint at the Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, Tyson has held various management positions at luxury properties across the Federation including Rooms Division Manager at the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, Nevis; General Manager at Paradise Beach Resort, Nevis; and most recently, Housekeeping Manager at the Park Hyatt, St. Kitts.
