Strengthening what has always been a strong South American market for the Dutch Caribbean, low-cost carrier Wingo has launched its first-ever flights between Bogota, Colombia and Curacao.
Wingo’s new flights are operating twice weekly, with service on Thursdays and Saturdays.
It’s a boost for an island that welcomed around 23,000 visitors from Colombia in 2018, according to data from the Curacao Hotel and Tourism Association.
There are now a total of 13 flights each week between Curacao and Bogota.
Wingo, a Colombia-based low-cost airline, is operating the service on Boeing 737-700 aircraft with 142 seats.
