WestJet’s new low-cost carrier, Swoop, has launched its newest flight from Canada to the Caribbean.

This time, it’s a new nonstop service between John C. Munro International Airport in Hamilton and Cancun International Airport.

The new service comes after Swoop recently launched two new routes to Mexico, with flights from Hamilton and Abbotsford to Puerto Vallarta.

“Mexico is one of the leading value destinations this winter,” said Karen McIsaac, Senior Advisor of Communications at Swoop. “Cancun, particularly known for miles of pristine beach, is being enjoyed by more Canadians who are choosing to fly with Swoop and are spending their savings on activities to enhance their total vacation experience.”

Swoop first launched operations in June 2018.

The carrier already operates flights to another Caribbean destination, Montego Bay, also out of Hamilton — a service that launched last month.
