Swoop, the new low-cost carrier by Canadian airline WestJet, is launching its first flights to the Caribbean.

The new service from the Toronto area’s Hamilton International Airport to Montego Bay, which launched Sunday, Dec. 16, is operating on Wednesdays and Sundays; it will run through April 24 of 2019, according to the company.

The new flights will be substantially cheaper than typical fares from Canada to the Caribbean, according to an analysis of Swoop’s booking engine by Caribbean Journal.

Swoop is operating a fleet of four Boeing 737-800s.

Next month, the airline will add more flights to the Caribbean, with new thrice-weekly service from Hamilton to Cancun, Mexico.

That service will officially launch on Jan. 14.
