Barbados Eco-Luxe Villa Heads to Auction

A spectacular villa on Barbados’ Platinum Coast is heading to auction, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The villa at 9 Westland Heights in St James will be sold without reserve to the highest bidder next month via Concierge Auctions.

The five-bedroom, 7,600-square-foot villa, which had previously been listed for $6.12 million, comes with membership to the nearby Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club.

The five-bedroom property, which is set on a one-acre site in a gated community on the West Coast, has a focus on sustainability, with a solar voltaic system, solar hot water and a collection of rare plants and trees maintained by a local horticulturalist.

Other amenities include a chef’s kitchen with three ovens; a walk-in cooler; two separate one-bedroom cottages, an 800-square-foot gazebo and two swimming pools.

The property, which comes furnished, is being sold in cooperation with Richard Young of Young Estates, according to Concierge Auctions.
