Riu has embarked on a broad renovation and expansion push in the Caribbean, with another revamped hotel set to relaunch.

This time it’s the Riu Palace Tropical Bay, one of the two Riu all-inclusives in Negril, Jamaica.

The Riu Palace Tropical Bay will officially reopen on Oct. 20 in Negril, with 452 rooms, 24-hour all-inclusive room service and direct access to Negril’s famous Bloody Bay beach.

The renovation includes a redesigned pool area, a major facelift for the hotel’s existing rooms, along with 52 new rooms, and a new RiuLand kids’ club.

Changes to the rooms include new decor and furnishing and the replacement of bathtubs with large walk-in showers.

The property’s main building has also undergone a major transformation to its interiors, while Riu has changed the culinary concepts across the hotel.

In keeping with Riu’s other revamps, the company has added its new “Capuchino” cafe and ice cream parlor, along with a new all-day snacks and drinks outpost.
