Riu Reopens Bambu Resort in Punta Cana

Fresh off the reopening of its Riu Palace in Punta Cana, Riu has announced the reopening of another all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic.

ClubHotel Riu Bambu has reopened in Punta Cana with an updated look and a series of extra amenities.

Crucially, the all-inclusive resort added 260 rooms to the property in its renovation, bringing it to a total of 1,000 rooms, each equipped with the Riu signatures that include flat-screen satellite TVs, liquor dispensers and minibars.

Other additions in include two new pools with swim-up bars, for a total of five swimming pools.

Guests will still have free access to the resort’s Splash Water World water park.

Riu Bambu is also adding “Riu4U,” a daytime entertainment program for teenagers from 13 to 17 years of age.

The resort now includes two new themed restaurants, including Olé, which serves a la carte Spanish cuisine, and Kulinarium, which serves Caribbean fusion cuisine.

The hotel has added a new gym next to the beach, and will continue to offer free-of-charge windsurfing, kayaking, pedal boat and snorkeling equipment on the beach from partner Scuba Caribe.
