Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Legend ship is repositioning to Port Tampa Bay next year, the company announced in a statement this week.

The 2,124-passenger ship will head to Port Tampa Bay beginning in October 2019 to sail week-long Caribbean cruises that will stop in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mahogany and either Belize or the Costa Maya.

In Jan. 2020, the ship will offer a special eight-day voyage that includes a partial transit of the Panama Canal along with port calls in Costa Rica and Grand Cayman.

Carnival Legend is currently undergoing an extensive two-week dry dock that is adding some of the company’s newest food and beverage concepts like Guy’s Burger Joint and the RedFrog Rum Bar, among others.

“At Carnival, we encourage our guests to Choose Fun and with these voyages aboard the newly refurbished Carnival Legend we’re providing our guests with a broad spectrum of exciting cruise options featuring sought-after destinations and unique experiences ashore,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.
