Princess Cruises will continue offering summer Caribbean cruising from Florida in 2019, with family-friendly summer vacations in both the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

The line’s summer departures from Fort Lauderdale open for sale December 14.

“With our return to the Caribbean in summer 2019, we’re delivering to our guests the best family cruise vacation available to sun-drenched destinations where enriching adventures and island life await,” said Jan Swartz Princess Cruises and Carnival Australia group president.

The May through July 2019 season features 17 cruise departures from the port, visiting seven countries on four unique itineraries including the line’s East/West Adventurer, which combines seven-day itineraries into a 14-day voyage.

Every seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise features a call to the cruise line’s own private beach destination, Princess Cays.

Guests on Eastern Caribbean cruises will also enjoy More Ashore late-night stays in St. Thomas, while those on Western Caribbean cruises will do so in Cozumel.

Western Caribbean cruises will also include access to the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Other noteworthy sites accessible through shore excursions include Virgin Islands National Park on St. John, Blackbeard’s Castle in St. Thomas, Stingray City in Grand Cayman and the Mayan Ruins in Tulum.

Features aboard Caribbean Princess include specialty dining options such as Planks BBQ, Steamers, World Fresh Market, Coffee & Cones as well as Camp Discovery, a themed youth and teen center for kids of all ages.
