Apple Leisure Group subsidiary AMResorts has partnered with Cornell University on a new certificate program for AMResorts general managers, the company announced.

The AMResorts Top Executive Certificate Program is a personalized business and hospitality development program delivered by the Cornell University Hotel School Executive Education and eCornell.

The three-year program is a blend of classroom and online learning, offered to select general managers at AMResorts properties beginning in January 2018.

Hospitality management topics will be taught by Cornell faculty, along with visiting lecturers and executives.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a master certificate in hospitality management.

“AMResorts has always been a pioneer in the hospitality industry,” said Gonzalo del Peón, President of AMResorts. “By providing a one-of-a-kind learning experience powered by top educators and leaders, AMResorts looks forward to strengthening our team and giving them a smart edge to better serve our guests.”

It’s the latest innovation for a firm that is the fastest-growing company in the Caribbean region.

“Cornell University is thrilled to be working with AMResorts to deliver a program that focuses on their unique business needs and will help develop the potential of their team,” said Catherine Perkins, Assistant Director for Hospitality Custom Programs at Cornell University.
