Le Village St Barth Reopening Dec. 1

One of the top hotels in St Barth is reopening next month, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The four-star Le Village St Barth in St Jean is now accepting reservations for trips beginning Dec. 1.

“The island took a drubbing, no question,” said co-owner Catherine Charneau. “The hillsides are likely to be brown rather than green for a few more months but Gustavia still looks like a picture-book Antillean harbor town, some of the beaches have already recovered the sand that washed away and many of the restaurants and stores just down the hill from the hotel are already open for business.  But since we want your vacation to be as pleasant and relaxing as possible, we personally, the staff at LeVillage, suggest that you hold off a few more weeks so we’re aiming for a full reopening date of December 1.”

By that time, the hotel’s infinity pool will be back to normal and gardens will be re-landscaped.

While Hurricane Irma caused damage to the property, only two of 25 rooms and suites saw serious damage.

Even better? Le Village is offering summer rates through Dec. 15, with rooms starting at 175 Euros per night.
