Caribbean Airlines Names New CEO

Trinidad and Tobago-based Caribbean Airlines has named a new Chief Executive Officer, the company announced Tuesday.

The airline has named Garvin Medera as its new CEO, effective immediately.

Medera comes to the company after having served most recently as CEO of Digicel Play, a position he held since December 2015.

Medera succeeds acting CEO Captain Jagmohan Singh who had been serving as the company looked for a permanent CEO. Singh had been serving since Oct. 2016.

“The Board and employees look forward to the innovation and collective capabilities that would be developed under the leadership of the new CEO,” the company’s board said in a statement.
