A New Electronic Music Festival Is Coming to Barbados

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 22, 2017

Some of the world’s top house and techno DJs are heading to Barbados next year for the first-ever Vujaday electronic music festival.

Vujaday will take place in a different location on each of its five days in Barbados, with a lineup focused on different styles of house and techno.

Events will take place at Farley Hill, Holetown, the South Beach Zone and on the eastern and western coasts of Barbados.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring a major electronic festival to Barbados,” says Ryan Kruger, Vujaday co-founder and president of The RKET Group. “The island is brimming with a vivid culture and amazing sights to take in, and we wanted to make sure that the festival format allowed for guests to experience more than just a single location while enjoying music from around the world.”

Vujaday has brought on Norman Barrow, the managing director of A&B Music Supplies in Barbados, to ensure that “local culture is well represented,” organizers said in a release.

The full music lineup will be announced soon.
