CTO Honors Apple Leisure Group’s Alex Zozaya

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 9, 2017

Apple Leisure Group’s Alex Zozaya was honored this week with a “Jerry Award” during the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week Tourism Industry Awards luncheon this week in New York.

The award is “presented annually to an industry leader who has demonstrated a passion for the development of the region and has dedicated time, energy, financial, personal and professional resources to its growth.”

Zozaya has helped lead Apple Leisure Group to become the leading provider of North American travelers to the Caribbean and one of the region’s largest employers.

“Winning the Jerry Award is a testament to Apple Leisure Group’s commitment to supporting the economic growth of the Caribbean, and I want to thank the CTO for this honor,” said Zozaya. “The region is consistently recognized as one of the most popular vacation destinations for North American travelers, and is an integral part of our growth strategy as we continue to seek opportunities to expand the footprint of our six luxury, all-inclusive resort brands.”

Apple Leisure Group’s subsidiary, AMResorts, plans to sign its 100th resort deal by 2020.
