Kimpton to Open Property in Grenada

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 5, 2017

Kimpton is launching a Caribbean expansion.

The hotel brand, which opened its first Caribbean property last year, the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa in Grand Cayman, has announced plans to open its second hotel in the region in Grenada.

The Kimpton Kawana Bay Grenada Resort is slated to debut in early 2019 on the island’s famous Grand Anse Beach.

The luxury resort will be a major addition to the island, whose hotel product has largely consisted of smaller, unbranded hotels.

The hotel will include 101 luxury studio rooms and 45 suites, along with 12 penthouse apartments that will be available to private owners.

A number of the resort’s suites will include private pools overlooking the beach; all rooms will have ocean views.

Also on hand will be a main infinity pool, a restaurant, lounge and beach bars, a fitness center, a spa and watersports facilities.
