By: Caribbean Journal Staff - November 6, 2016

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship has begun its first Caribbean sailings out of its new homeport at Port Everglades.

The new Harmony of the Seas ship joins sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas on the east coast of Florida, which are homeported in Port Canaveral and Port Everglades, respectively.

Harmony will be offering seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

Harmony of the Seas has 16 guest decks and carries 5,497 guests at double occupancy.

It includes VOOM, what’s billed as the fastest Internet access at sea, along with the company’s seven “neighborhood” concept.

The ship also features The Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story waterslide.
