Air France is adding a new destination in the Caribbean: Barbados.
The carrier will be offering up to two flights per week to Barbados from Paris-Orly, with a connection in either Pointe-a-Pitre or Fort-de-France.
The flights will be operated on a codeshare basis with Air Antilles and operated on that carrier’s ATR 72 and ATR 42 aircraft.
Air France offers 14 weekly flights from Paris-Orly to Pointe a Pitre, and 13 weekly flights between Paris-Orly and Fort-de-France.
Air France has also signed an agreement with the Barbados Tourist Office aimed at developing tourism in Barbados and promoting the island in France and Europe.
“This is the first time that Barbados and a French airline have become partners. We are delighted that this partnership is with Air France and we are eager to welcome French visitors to enable them to discover our island, a glamorous destination close to the French West Indies,” said William Griffith, CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.
