AMResorts Continues Global Development Push

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 19, 2016

AMResorts is continuing its major growth push with a new hire.

The Apple Leisure Group subsidiary has named Claudio Zboznovits its new vice president of global sales and business development, a new role created to “further support the company’s unprecedented growth,” AMResorts said in a statement.

Zboznovits will be reporting to Colette Baruth, the company’s senior vice president of sales, marketing, revenue management and distribution.

He will be responsible for leading and executing AMResorts’ strategic sales plans in the US, Canada and international markets.

AMResorts is the fastest-growing hotel company in the wider Caribbean region.

“The innovative thinking and deep experience of our AMResorts leadership team is the engine behind the company’s steadfast growth,” said Gonzalo del Peón, President of AMResorts. “Claudio’s industry experience combined with his international market expertise made him a clear fit as we expand new frontiers for our resort brands.”

Zboznovits had previously served as corporate vice president and chief commercial officer for BlueBay Hotels and Resorts.

“Claudio’s precise blend of strategic thinking to drive sales make him an asset to AMResorts and allow us a greater focus on creating a stronger footprint in established and new markets as we grow our available inventory,” Baruth said.
