JetBlue Adding New Daily Flights to the Bahamas

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 4, 2016

New York City-based JetBlue Airways is expanding its flight service to the Bahamas.

The carrier has announced the addition of two more daily flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport.

That will increase the number of daily flights from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau from three to five flights per day.

The new JetBlue Nassau service will begin Aug. 1, according to the company.

The flights will begin with a 7:52 AM departure, with the last flight of the day departing Fort Lauderdale at 4:25 PM.

The last flight out of Nassau to Fort Lauderdale will depart at 6:30 PM.

The flights will also be a boon to the Out Islands of the Bahamas, offering more potential connections through local carrier Bahamasair.

As Caribbean Journal has reported, JetBlue has been the fastest-growing carrier in the wider Caribbean region, regularly launching both new flights and new destinations in the last several years.
