Carnival’s newest cruise ship has a party piece: the first-ever IMAX Theater at sea.
The theater on Carnival Vista has a three-deck-high screen, offering what the company calls an “immersive cinema experience.”
The 187-seat IMAX Theater is part of the ship’s Carnival Multiplex, which also includes the Thrill Theater, a multi-dimensional experience replete with moving seats and water and bubble sprays.
The company said the theater would show Hollywood blockbusters, family favorites and IMAX documentaries.
The cost? $12.95 for adults and $9.95 for children 12 and under and guests 55 and over for first-run movies.
