One of the Caribbean’s Best Hotels Is Getting Even Better

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 11, 2016

It’s the best hotel in Dominica, and one of the best in the whole Caribbean. And now Secret Bay is getting even better.

Dominica’s Secret Bay boutique resort has announced the planned addition of two new villas called Ylang Ylang Villas, now open for booking.

In October, the property will open two new villas with a unique design aspect: they’re built on a single stem, “rising” from the ground like the multi-petalled flower from which they get their name: the Ylang Ylang.

The properties include all of the amenities and features found in the hotel’s other villas, along with a private pool accessed from the bedroom and a dramatic balcony perched high among the trees.

The new units were conceptualized by Fruto Vivas, and local architects Millennia hammered out the details.

The villas are set to debut as the hotel celebrates its fifth anniversary in the north of Dominica near Portsmouth.
