Fast-growing regional hotel brand AMResorts has named a new senior vice president.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Apple Leisure Group, has promoted Colette Baruth to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management & Distribution, it announced this week.

Baruth will lead all strategic initiatives “with an eye on further fueling the company’s expansion in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America,” the company said.

AMResorts has embarked on a rapid expansion push, including 17 new hotel deals signed so far in 2015.

“In addition to 20 years of extensive experience, Colette brings invaluable out-of-the-box thinking to our six resort brands,” said Gonzalo del Peón, President of AMResorts. “She consistently brings new opportunities to the table and the kind of goal-driven strategy that delivers meaningful results to our partners.”
