But because this is France, that means nude beaches galore, with an easygoing, laissez-faire attitude on sultry stretches of sand. Our favorite? On the eastern end of Grand Terre, this beach isn’t easy to find (follow the signs to La Pointe Des Chateaux) or very big, but the archipelago’s only official nude beach is known for its clear waters and excellent snorkeling.
