A top luxury brand is coming to Jamaica.

Apple Leisure Group’s AMResorts announced this week that it was planning to open a new Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resort to Montego Bay.

The property is slated to debut at the end of 2016.

“The high demand for Caribbean vacations is here to stay, which consistently makes it an ideal choice for hotel owners,” said Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group. “Our extensive knowledge of the region and the luxury all-inclusive sector makes Apple Leisure Group the right partner for those seeking to capitalize on this rewarding opportunity.”

The property is currently the Coyaba Beach Resort. In April 2016, it will close to undergo “extensive renovations,” the company said.

“Zoëtry Montego Bay Jamaica will go beyond the expected all-inclusive offering, to provide travelers with an intimate yet luxurious ambiance that is perfect for relaxation,” said Gonzalo del Peon, President of AMResorts. “Travelers seeking a resort where they can unwind and be catered to have found a new place to call their home away from home in beautiful Montego Bay.”

The resort is planning to re-open as Zoëtry Montego Bay Jamaica in December 2016, including 46 rooms, three restaurants and two bars.

“Montego Bay is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean,” said Javier Coll, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Apple Leisure Group. “The ease of arrival from several major North American hubs combined with its natural beauty makes the destination a natural fit for the luxury traveler looking to experience Zoëtry’s boutique resort offerings.”

It will be Zoëtry’s first hotel in the Jamaica.

Zoëtry is also planning a new hotel in Aruba slated to open in 2018.
