The British Virgin Islands’ Scrub Island Resort has partnered with Waypoint Real Estate Consulting in an effort to increase awareness of real estate offerings and stimulate villa development around the island.

The new partnership with the Florida-based agency, which specializes in the sales of resort real estate, comes with a $12.5 million investment in capital improvements around the island.

“Scrub Island Resort allows buyers to experience the dream of owning a home in the Caribbean without the inconvenience of building and maintaining one,” said James Miller, managing director at Scrub Island Resort. “We believe Waypoint has the skill and experience needed to connect the resort with buyers eager to experience such an exclusive location.”

The capital improvement plan entails building and finishing roadways, expanding on-island transportation, and holistically redeveloping the irrigation system while enhancing the landscaping of the entire resort.

Recent upgrades to the resort have included a renovation of the pool, the addition of a VIP sun deck and cabana and the relocation of the Ixora Spa to a villa closer to Marina Village.

The spa now offers treatments with Elemis products, an infinity plunge pool and three treatment rooms featuring stunning views of Beef Island, Marina Cay and Virgin Gorda.
