The British Virgin Islands’ Scrub Island Resort, Spa and Marina has announced a slate of new appointments, highlighted by a new general manager.

The property has named Douglas “Chip Nelson” as its new general manager, while naming James “Jim” Miller as its new managing director.

Scrub Island also announced the appointment of Denise Gordon-Morrison to head its Ixora Spa and Daniel L.A. de Kok as its new director of finance.

“We are excited to heavily reinvest in our most important resource, our staff,” said Juli Corlew, vice president and managing director of Mainsail Lodging & Development. “This signals a fresh start for our resort with new management, innovative solutions and renewed energy to take Scrub Island Resort to the next level in quality, service delivery and overall guest experience.”

The 52-unit resort is located on a 230-acre private island in the British Virgin Islands.
